Can Water Help Get Rid Of Acne?

waterYou may have heard the advice - drink 8 glasses of water a day.  It usually comes with the explanation that doing so will help you loose weight, get clear skin, stay healthy or any number of other benefits.
So, is there any truth to this tip?  Well, actually Yes!

Water is important to your body because it cleans it from the inside out.  Staying hydrated will eliminate the buildup of toxins and allow all of your organs (including your skin) to operate at the best.

If you don’t get enough water, your skin is one of the first things to show it.  Dryness, itchiness, pimples and other conditions can be made worse by lack of enough water.  Don’t think that juice or soda makes a good substitute.  It doesn’t!  In fact, drinking too much soda and juice can make acne worse because of the sugars and other ingredients in these drinks.

Water is very good for your skin and you should try to get your 8 glasses a day every day.  If you don’t like the taste, try adding a splash of lemon juice or switch to bottled water.  Also remember that on hot days you should drink more than 8 glasses a day to compensate for all of the extra fluids your body uses to keep you cool when it’s warm.

So, your mother was right - drinking water will help your skin!  It’s not a miracle, just a basic body function.  Go grab a tall cool glass now and drink to beautiful skin.

This is so true and so many people dont realize it. We have to keep reminding people about some things. Often times we hear things and they’re true for a while and then the FDA or someone changes their story ;-)
    thanks

When my acne got real bad my older sister rec’mnd this so I did it. My skin got a lil better but not much until I used a supplement. Not sure if water alone can cure it but does seem to help.
