Acne On The Back - Tips For Solving It
Admin | May 13, 2009 | Comments 2
When you think of acne, you probably picture blemishes on the face. In reality, there are other places on the body that acne can strike. One of the most common places people get acne is on the back. Back acne can be particurally troublesome because it seems more difficult to treat than facial acne.
If acne on the back is causing you grief, here are some tips on how to solve it…
Wear Loose Clothing
One of the biggest triggers for acne on the back is tight fitting or unbreathable clothing combined with sweat. As summer approaches, people who suffer from this condition will probably notice a resurgance of their back acne. This is because you sweat more in the summer whether you are actively playing sports or even just hanging out at the beach.
The solution is to avoid tight fitting or nylon/polyester type clothing in favor of cotton t-shirts and other clothes that allow sweat to evaporate more easily.
Clean Your Back Like You Do Your Face
Yeah, I know that it’s hard to reach your back in the shower. It might help to get one of those back cleaning devices that help you scrub your back. They look like a scrubber on a long stick and you can find them in the bath section of WalMart or your local drugstore.
Whatever cleaning solution you are using to treat your face will work just as well on your back. The important point is that you make sure to scrub (gently) to help the dead skin cells escape and not hang around clogging your pores.
Take an Acne Supplement
There are a number of good supplements that treat acne from the inside out by infusing your system with helpful vitamins that fight acne. My favorite is the Revitol Acnezine system (read my review of Acnezine here).
For difficult acne, such as acne on the back, these formulations can be particularly helpful. Both of those systems also come with a topical cream that you can optionally apply to your back just like you would to your face. If you cant reach, you may need the help of a family member or friend to do it for you, although with the right angle in a mirror and a little twisting you should be able to reach most of the affected area.

Good tips, I didn’t think about the back scratcher thing but I’ll have to pick one up. I just started using Acnezine myself (face & back) and so far it’s been 3 weeks and it’s getting much better so that is some good stuff. BTW, love the blog!
